Special Musicianship Award

This Award was created in 2015 because a participant showed true musicianship in helping a co-participant when the shoulder rest on his violin broke just before his performance. She calmly offered her shoulder rest and as a result the young man won the Trophy! This Award is not a scholarship and it will not be given out every year. It will only be awarded when a participant shows a true Spirit of Musicianship. In 2019, this award was given to Alicia Gombos who showed fair and generous behaviour to another musician in a difficult situation.
