PERCUSSION ENSEMBLES
Ensembles must consist of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 15 percussion performers. A piano and/or electric bass player may be included in the ensemble if required in the score. The level (Jr/Int/Sr) refers to the level of difficulty of selections. An ensemble may enter only one category. One selection must be made from the provided list and a contrasting piece of equivalent difficulty may be chosen by the performers. At least one of the selections must include one or more mallet (xylophone, vibes marimba, chimes) parts. Scores must be provided for the adjudicators. In addition to standard of performance the Ensembles will be adjudicated on the appropriateness of material selected, instrumentation and stage deportment.
