For some time now The Board of Directors, Kiwanis Music Festival, National Capital Region have been trying to find a mechanism to show appreciation to the many volunteers that contribute their time to this Festival.

We have come up with an award with two sets of guidelines.

1. For ten years or more of exceptional service
A very attractive crystal piece with Kiwanis logo and recipent's name

2. For five years or more of exceptional service
A certificate with Kiwanis logo and recipent's name

No one exemplifies volunteerism more than our current President Jim Brough. Jim has been President for more than 10 years AND INVOLVED FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS and is constantly giving his time to the Festival and it's kids. Just in the last 3 months Jim has taken a group Festival kids to the English Speaking union, attended the Nationals down East, for a week, attended a Provincial meeting, and participated in many meetings and discussions .. all to represent our Festival. AND he never asks for anything in return.

With all of this in mind the Board of Directors has agreed that this volunteer award be named in honour of his service and that he be the first to receive this award.
